New Paths to Achievement Program

New Paths to Achievement: Career & Personal Development (NPTA) helps Long Islanders succeed in addressing their needs related to career, education and personal goals. The experience is crucial in helping you gain self-confidence and improve job-search strategies. We provide you with access to employment opportunities and other resources. Participants utilize personal development skills to become marketable for employment and secure the job they need to improve their economic situation. Our NPTA coordinator works with you to enhance your knowledge about the employment market, while teaching you new ways of conducting a job search.

Program Delivery

Under the program you will be mentored while attending diverse group workshops, both in person and web based. You will be referred through all Long Island Cares locations and our partner agencies, including the Suffolk County Department of Labor, community libraries and local multi-service agencies that partner with us to develop programs that provide training, educational programs and referrals, with access to employers through job fairs.

Beyond the life lessons and skills learned at these workshops, one of the most valuable things about New Paths is a supportive network to help you succeed. You will move forward with personal and professional goals and concentrate on your strengths rather than your challenges. New Paths to Achievement is here to give you a practical boost on the road to independence.
