CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Long Island Cares, Inc. is currently recruiting for the position of Chief Financial Officer for the regional food bank and humanitarian organization founded by singer/songwriter and social activist Harry Chapin in 1980. Long Island Cares supports 380 contract member agencies, operates in four locations on Long Island, and employs a staff of 49. The CFO is a member of the organizations’ administrative team and is responsible for the management of daily financial and accounting operations, administration of contracts and Feeding America affiliation, legal and regulatory compliance, and some human resource functions.
Hands-on and detail-oriented, excellent analytical, communication, and writing skills. Familiar with human resource management. Must have experience dealing with external auditing and legal/regulatory compliance. CPA or MBA required. LI Cares, the Regional Food Bank for Nassau/Suffolk Counties is looking for a few hard workers! We are currently looking to add to our warehouse staff. As a member of our warehouse team your duties will include but not be limited to: picking orders, inventory control, operation of forklift and other power equipment, food safety, maintenance of facilities, shipping and receiving. Also you will be required on occasion to drive company vehicles for pick-up and delivery of product. No CDL driver’s license is required.
A High School Diploma or equivalent. A clean NYS Driver’s License. Must be able to pick up 50+ pounds, strong math skills and strong work ethics.
