Long Island Cares is seeking a full time Volunteer Coordinator. The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training, scheduling and maintaining all volunteers that assist the regional food bank with various aspects of our mission to include but not limit to; direct service programs, community events, food drives, special events, office help, warehouse assistance, etc.
The desired candidate will have impeccable computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft outlook, and excel. Previous experience working as a volunteer in some capacity is essential. This position must be flexible, weekends and nights occasional as well as floating to our 4 different locations. The Volunteer Coordinator is part of the programs and services department at Long Island Cares. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone passionate about helping people, who is willing to learn, grow and give themselves to assist Long Islanders in need.
