Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Sr. Director of Development, the Major & Planned Giving Manager leads Long Island Cares’ major gifts and planned giving program while building the philanthropic infrastructure needed to support future comprehensive and capital campaigns. The Manager manages a portfolio of approximately 125–150 current and prospective donors capable of making gifts of $10,000 or more and develops strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward significant philanthropic support. Working closely with the President & CEO, Senior Director of Development, Board of Directors, and Development team, the Manager serves as the organization’s lead strategist for individual philanthropy, expanding major and planned giving while strengthening donor engagement and campaign readiness. As a member of the Development leadership team, this position plays a critical role in growing philanthropic support and advancing Long Island Cares’ long-term strategic priorities.
