Listening Sessions

Speak Out About Hunger and Food Insecurity

Working together to make change

Long Island Cares Chapin Policy logoJoin us for a listening session about the upcoming White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, & Health.

This is the first time in 52 years that a President has convened a White House Conference on Hunger so it is critical our voices are heard.

Long Island Cares, Inc.-The Harry Chapin Food Bank is working in partnership with Feeding America to host seven listening sessions to
solicit input from those with lived experience on recommendations to be submitted to the White House to make this Conference as inclusive and impactful as possible.

These sessions provide an opportunity for our local pantries, soup kitchens, volunteers, and recipients of emergency food assistance to dialogue with our leadership team about ways in which we can achieve an America without hunger by 2030.

Fill out and submit the form to the right to sign up.  Dates and locations are listed below.

If you are unable to attend one of our listening sessions but would like to lend your voice, please submit your story, thoughts, and recommendations by July 15, 2022 to [email protected] .
