Donating cryptocurrency is a non-taxable event, meaning you do not owe capital gains tax on the appreciated amount and can deduct it on your taxes. This makes Bitcoin, Ethereum and other cryptocurrency donations one of the most tax-efficient ways to support your favorite cause.
IMPORTANT:
Please only send the exact cryptocurrency listed on the blockchain mentioned on the widget. Do not send any other cryptocurrencies (including layer 2, wrapped tokens, NFTs or other ERC-20 tokens not listed) as these are unsupported and may result in loss of donation. For more info, click here.
Forty-two percent of the 230,000 food-insecure people on Long Island are not eligible for SNAP benefits, based on Federal Poverty Income Guidelines. They are the working poor. These families have an annual income of $50 – $70,000 a year and still struggle with food insecurity. They are penalized for not meeting the strict requirements for government assistance.
We need your help to ensure that families and their children can eat.
