Long Island Cares – The Harry Chapin Regional Food Bank has been on a mission to feed Long Islanders facing food insecurity and address its root causes since our founding by the late Harry Chapin in 1980.

The Long Island Cares Mobile Pantry (formerly MFAU) provides information, referral assistance, and emergency food to communities across Long Island. The Mobile Pantry delivers food directly where people need it, helping ease the burden of getting to a pantry for assistance.
Designed to enhance and supplement the services provided by our member agency network, these custom-converted vans travel throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties during the week, bringing healthy groceries into the community free of charge.
