Help Us Provide the Most Important School Supply: Lunch!
We’re on a mission to make this school year the best ever! And we need your support to help make this possible.
Throughout our area, thousands of students are getting ready to go back to school, excited to learn and experience new things in the upcoming semester. But sadly, as the cost of living continues to climb, many families are facing tough choices between bills and groceries — and children often suffer as a result.
Your donation today supports local children and families facing hunger, including through Long Island Cares’ Pack It Up for Kids program, which helps supply nutritious food for kids in need.
Designed for the many children on Long Island who rely on free or reduced-price school meals — and for whom weekend food resources are very limited — Pack It Up for Kids provides nonperishable, easy-to-prepare, healthy food for these children on weekends to alleviate hunger at home and in the classroom.
Every $10 helps provide food for 6 meals!
Children should never go hungry. With help from donors like you, kids can focus on continuing their education without food insecurity as a worry in the back of their minds.
No matter the size, your donation to Long Island Cares will help a child dream, achieve, and thrive this school year. Thank you for caring!
