GRAMMY® AWARD-WINNING SUPERSTAR SIBLING TRIO TO PERFORM FREE AFTERNOON CONCERT ON SEPTEMBER 30TH AT THE SCHOOL THAT COLLECTS THE MOST FOOD FOR THE REGIONAL FOOD BANK
My Country 96.1 FM and Long Island Cares today announced the Grammy® Award-winning superstar sibling trio – THE BAND PERRY – will be teaming up with the both of them to support Long Island Cares – The Harry Chapin Food Bank for “The Food Drive to Stomp out Bullying.”
Giving back is always a priority for The Band Perry, and with this collaboration they will “stand tall with all the comeback kids” and help spread the word to “stomp out bullying” by performing a free special concert at the Long Island School that collects the most pounds of food to support Long Island Cares. The winning school will also win a special Anti-Bullying Seminar for their school to help raise awareness and take action to stomp out bullying. Plus, the student who raises the most pounds of food to the food drive will receive limousine transportation and tickets for them and their friends to see The Band Perry in concert on Friday, September 30th at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury.
“We’re very excited to be working with The Band Perry and our partners at My Country radio to raise awareness about bullying in schools and also about food insecurity on Long Island,” said Paule Pachter, CEO of Long Island Cares. “The Band Perry has used their success to support several important causes in addition to Bullying Awareness and Global Hunger. The Food Drive to Stomp out Bullying will run from September 7-26 and the winning school and student will be notified on Wednesday, September 28th.
