Pampered Chef Supports LI Cares – For 19 Years in a Row!

January 20, 2015

The Pampered Chef has been helping Long Island Cares, Inc. – The Harry Chapin Food Bank fight hunger on Long Island for the past 19 years through their Round Up from the Heart program.
Since 1996 Pampered Chef customers and consultants have raised $150,000 for Long Island Cares through the program. Their most recent donation to support the regional food bank was $7,000. Donations are generated when customers “round up” their cooking show orders to the nearest dollar or more, or make a purchase of a special limited edition trivet. Funds generated through “round ups” or trivet purchases are then donated to food banks based on the zip code where the cooking show is hosted or order is placed.
“We’re very grateful to The Pampered Chef for their continued support of our work,” said Paule T. Pachter, Chief Executive Officer of Long Island Cares, Inc. “For over 19 years The Pampered Chef has been a consistent and generous corporate partner of Long Island Cares, Inc.-The Harry Chapin Food Bank, and their most recent grant of $7,000 brings their total support to almost $150,000 – the equivalent of 1.5 million meals.”
