Lifetime Brands Donates Truckloads of New Kitchen Supplies to Long Island Cares, Inc.

Just in time for the holiday season, Lifetime Brands the Long Island based international distributor of fine kitchen supplies and housewares delivered more than 22,000 pounds of brand new kitchen utensils, dishes and other assorted cookware and gadgets to Long Island Cares, Inc. to support families in need.  The donation arrived at Long Island Cares’ Hauppauge warehouse on more than 63 pallets and was quickly sorted and packed by dozens of volunteers.  Lifetime Brands has been a significant corporate partner of the regional food bank since 2012 when they donated  $500,000 worth of kitchen supplies to Long Island Cares to help communities severely impacted by Superstorm Sandy.
“This is an enormous donation that many families in need will greatly appreciate,” said Paule Pachter, Executive Director of Long Island Cares, Inc.  “To have new cooking utensils, brand new dishes, coffee mugs, mixing bowls and so many other first quality kitchenware are products not often distributed by food banks.  Lifetime Brands continues to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors in need through these very generous donations and we’re very excited to be able to distribute them through our network of member agencies.”
