On Tuesday, July 25, more than 9,000 runners and walkers came out to take part in the Marcum Workplace Challenge. The largest run-walk on the island happens annually at Jones Beach and was a wildly good time.
Long Island Cares was grateful to be a beneficiary of the corporate challenge brought to us by Marcum LLP. This year was the 12th annual challenge and included good conversation, fun attendees, and selfies!
We had a great conversation about food insecurity with PSE&G, took selfies with Sal Valentinetti, former competitor on The Voice, and even got a little exercise in.
Since its inception in 2006, the event has raised over $700,000 for Long Island charities and organizations. We’re extremely grateful to be a part of that and are excited to keep challenging this island to do better.
