its a wonderful life zuzu baileyIn a rare public appearance, actress Karolyn Grimes who played Zuzu Bailey alongside James Stewart and Donna Reed in It’s A Wonderful Life will join guests at Long Island Picture Frame’s Long Island locations this November for a special screening of the film to benefit Long Island Cares, Inc. – The Harry Chapin Food Bank.
The event will take place at Long Island Picture Frame in Massapequa Park on Friday, November 20 at 7:00 P.M., and in Oyster Bay on Saturday, November 21 at 12:00 and 7:00 PM. Tickets for this limited and intimate private screening are $150 each, and Long Island Picture Frame will donate $50 of each ticket sold through Long Island Cares back to the food bank. Guests will also receive an 8×10 autographed photo with the inscription, “Every time a bell rings, an angel gets its wings.”
“How many times do we get a chance to watch a movie with one of the stars sitting right next to us?” asks Paule Pachter, Long Island Cares’ CEO. “The film was made nearly seventy years ago and how fortunate are we to have one of the original actresses still with us to guide us through the film and share stories and perhaps secrets of what went on while It’s A Wonderful Life was being filmed.”  Seating for the three screenings is very limited.
Experience the magic of It’s A Wonderful Life with Zuzu Bailey herself and help Long Island’s regional food bank feed the hungry and food insecure at the same time. Reserve your tickets while you can by calling Cheryl Steinhauer at (631) 582-3663 x 104. Long Island Picture Frame will also be collecting donations of non-perishable food at all three screenings to support Long Island Cares.
