With hits like “Breaking Up is Hard to Do”, “Calendar Girl”, “Oh Carol”, “Happy Birthday Sweet 16”, and “Right Next Door to an Angel”,Neil Sedaka’s music defined a generation for teenagers in the ’60s and ’70s. He put out multiple Top 40 and Top 10 hits, and was frequently featured on television shows such as “American Bandstand”.
In 1975, Sedaka re-emerged with the help of Sir Elton John, the Captain & Tennille and other artists, releasing several new albums and acclaimed songs such as “Love Will Keep Us Together”, “Bad Blood”, “Solitaire” and “The Hungry Years”. New interest in Sedaka’s music brought him to the worldwide stage and hit television shows such as “American Idol”. After 40 years in the business, he remains one of the most respected entertainers, songwriters, and recording artists who defined Pop Rock music.
Now, Neil Sedaka is returning to the NYCB Theatre at Westbury on Saturday, August 15 for one night only, and Long Island Cares has a limited number of up close orchestra tickets for this show.
