Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray delivered the Luncheon Keynote address at Long Island Cares’ annual Agency Releations Conference on Friday, October 11, 2013 at the UpSky Resort and Hotel in Hauppauge. Following the luncheon, which was attended by more than 185 agency representatives, Supervisor Murray got a sneek peek of Long Island Cares’ new Veterans Project Mobile Outreach Unit. The latest mobile unit will be officially rolled out on Veteran’s Day and is part of an expansion of Long Island Cares’ services to veterans, military personnel and their families. The program has been funded through part of a $100,000 private donation to Long Island Cares, Inc.
