Rock Legends Live! Rare Concert Clips and Footage from Shelley Archives and the Folk Music Society of Huntington present HARRY CHAPIN RARE PERFORMANCES with Sandy and Josh Chapin, and Freeport Music Archivist Bill Shelley.
The Chapin Family and Cinema Arts Center honor hometown hero Harry Chapin’s memory by showing rare clips and performances from live concerts and television that capture some of Harry’s magic in front of an audience. Among the songs that will be featured in the program from Shelley Archives will be “Taxi,” “Sniper,” “W.O.L.D.,” “Mr. Tanner,” “Cat’s in the Cradle,” and “What Made America Famous.” Sandy and Josh Chapin, Harry’s widow and son, and Freeport Music Archivist Bill Shelley will appear in person for a Q&A and reception following the screening of Harry Chapin Rare Performances, co-presented by the Folk Music Society of Huntington at the popular Rock Legends Live! monthly series on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at Cinema Arts Centre, 423 Park Avenue in Huntington.
