Long Island Cares, Inc.-The Harry Chapin Food Bank has been chosen as the charity of choice for the 4th Annual Chocolate Expo.
Chocolate Expo will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2015, at the spectacular Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City. The Expo features tastings and sales of gourmet chocolates, baked goods, specialty foods, cheeses, gelato, wines and much more. Best of all, admission to CWE includes full access to the Museum’s exhibits, free entry to the Nassau County Firefighters Museum, and one free ride on Nunley’s Carousel!
Expo attendees are asked to bring non-perishable food, pet food, and personal care items donations for Long Island Cares. Our truck will be conveniently parked outside for donation drop off prior to entering CWE.
Long Island Cares, Inc. will also have an information booth set up inside to sign up volunteers, answer questions about our programs, and sell Harry Chapin CDs and t-shirts, proceeds to go to the food bank. The information booth is the only plae to purchase an official Chocolate Expo insulated bag!
Since our partnership began, the food and funds raised at The Chocolate Expo has supplied over 2,000 meals to families in need in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. This year, we hope to supply them all. Come indulge and help us do it!
