Harry Chapin said, “Our lives are to be used and thus to be lived as fully as possible, and truly it seems that we are never so alive as when we concern ourselves with other people.”
As our volunteers, you use their lives fully every day to help us end hunger on Long Island and keep Harry’s legacy going strong. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without your energy, time or skills. It’s as simple as that.
Happy National Volunteer Month, and thank you. We’re honored to be a part of what makes you feel alive.
(If you’re not a volunteer yet but want to be, check out our Volunteer page to get involved.)
