Donating food to Long Island Cares is one of the simplest ways you can make a difference in the lives of your neighbors and help us feed the hungry on Long Island.
Are you in the food industry? Long Island Cares welcomes any assistance you can provide. Donor liability is not a problem. For more information in how to become a corporate food donor please contact 631-582-FOOD, ext. 112 and speak with Pete Braglia, our Director of Procurement and Facilities.
Long Island Cares will help you host a food drive at your workplace, business, school, or neighborhood. It’s easier than you may think – and more rewarding than you can imagine. You may drop off your donation at a Long Island Cares food pantry weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
How It Works
Each year, we distribute more than six million pounds of food to over 580 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, group homes, day treatment facilities, senior nutrition sites, and day care centers in Nassau and Suffolk Counties, New York. These agencies, in turn, distribute the food to their clients and/or provide meals from the food received.
