Last year over 1,000 Metallica fans participated in the first Day of Service by volunteering at local food banks. Thanks to all the amazing participants, hundreds of thousands of pounds of food was packed and distributed to those in need . . . way to make a difference in your communities! We’re thrilled to be back with the details of our second annual Day of Service on Wednesday, May 22nd as we once again invite Metallica fans across the U.S. to join us in volunteering for a day at Long Island Cares.
Over 50 food banks will be partaking in the activities this year, more than twice as many as last year! Each registered volunteer on May 22nd will receive a special All Within My Hands t-shirt commemorating our united day of service. Please note that space is limited and you must register; unfortunately we will not be able to accept walk-ins.
Thank you for supporting Long Island Cares and All Within My Hands. See you on May 22nd and make sure to use the #MetallicaGivesBack and #AWMH hashtags for a chance to be featured on Metallica.com.
Please register by contacting LICvolunteer@licares.org; unfortunately, we will not be able to accept anyone who is not registered and confirmed. Space is limited for all volunteer shifts.
