JVC Broadcasting has been supporting Long Island Cares through various food drives and donations since 2010. Every November, JVC partners with Long Island Cares for the Food Fight Against Hunger, an annual food drive taking place the weekend before Thanksgiving. During this drive, JVC’s 5 Long Island radio stations (LI News Radio, My Country 96.1, Party 105, La Nueva Fiesta, and Oldies 98.1) take part in a friendly competition to see which station can bring in the most food.
Other events and collaborations with JVC include the Nick Cannon School Takeover (2014), The Band Perry Food Drive to Stomp Out Bullying (2016), and Rascal Flatt’s benefit concert for Long Island Cares (2017). Since 2010, JVC Broadcasting has helped to raise nearly a quarter million pounds of food, collected over $3,000 from their community, and donated more than $1,000 in gift cards to Long Island Cares. We are grateful to work closely with JVC Broadcasting and are proud to call them a corporate hero!
