Title: Vice President of Network Services

Location: Hauppauge, NY

FLSA Classification: Exempt

Salary Range: $115,000-$125,000

Responsible for the daily operations and management of our Agency Relations Department. Implement and maintain appropriate policies and procedures to ensure departmental and agency compliance with Feeding America, HPNAP and TEFAP regulatory standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop, document and implement internal systems and procedures to ensure agency ordering procedures and associated functions are in compliance with Accounting Department, donor requirements, Feeding America, HPNAP, TEFAP, and Nassau and Suffolk County DSS regulations and standards.
  • Supervise daily operations including workflow for agency food ordering and scheduling for all food programs.
  • Supervise site visit monitoring at all member agencies.
  • Supervise, schedule, and participate in on-going agency training seminars, workshops, agency conferences and meetings.
  • Supervise the receptionist to ensure proper representation of Long Island Cares to its guests, agencies, donors, volunteers, and business partners.
  • Participate on the HPNAP Advisory Board.
  • Serve as a member of the Food Management Team.
  • Network with other health and social service agencies and participate in professional conferences and workshops.
  • New training as required for maintenance of up-to-date knowledge of agency database system. Training as required by Long Island Cares as part of on-going staff development.
  • Actively participate in outreach efforts to nurture new member agencies.
  • Other duties as assigned by the President & CEO.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Commitment to food banking and efforts to end hunger.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people.

Education and Experience:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public or Human Services Administration, Business, or related degree.
  • The desired candidate will have a minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in a position related to food distribution, nutrition education, policy development and serving in an executive capacity, including experience in staff supervision and customer service.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
