Reports to: Chief Government Affairs Officer (CGAO)
This position is responsible for coordinating the regional food bank’s veteran outreach efforts, which includes deploying the Veterans Project Mobile Outreach Unit to strategic veteran distributions (i.e. Stand Downs) and disseminating information at various community events. This person will also be charged with updating and developing existing veteran outreach materials. Care coordination responsibilities include making and tracking internal and external referrals as well as conducting home visits on an as needed basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; be able to lift packages greater than 30 lbs; have intermediate computer knowledge of Microsoft Office, and possess excellent communication, written, and organizational skills. A clean NYS DMV record and a background check are required for this position. Veteran status is strongly preferred but not required.
