Farm to Truck Mobile Coordinator
Location: Hauppauge, NY

Reports to: VP for Programs & Community Services
FLSA Classification: Non-exempt
Salary Range: $24.00/hour
Job Summary:
- The Farm to Truck Mobile Coordinator is responsible for the daily operation of the Farm to Truck Mobile Program. This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position with the schedule of Tuesday-Saturday. Some evening and weekends.
Essential Functions:
- Mobile Programs
- Perform various clerical duties, e.g., correspondence, scheduling, maintaining program records, updating program materials, typing, filing, etc.
- Inventory management – order nutritious foods for each program
- Coordinate the preparation of emergency food packages.
- Help prepare emergency food packages for distributions.
- Schedule visits/distributions throughout various locations.
- Load/unload and drive farm truck and distribute pre-packaged food bags as scheduled
- Follow assigned routes and schedules, arriving at each market site on time.
- Keep Farm to Truck vehicle clean and organized.
- Maintain community resource lists/referrals utilized in all programs.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the Vice President for Programs.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Relative work experience in office operations, non-for-profit, or human services preferred
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times and stand on your feet for an extended amount of time, working in outdoor temperatures.
- Valid and clean NYS drivers license.
* This position is funded by a grant that is currently secured through August 2025, with a request for extension until December 2025. While Long Island Cares intends to seek renewal of this grant annually, continued funding for this role is not guaranteed. Employment beyond the current grant period is contingent upon securing additional funding.
