Long Island Cares, Inc. is accepting applications for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO).  The CFO is a member of our organizations’ administrative team.  We are looking for a dynamic self-starter with excellent computer and communications skills, able to work collaboratively with a team of seven administrative team members.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Management of daily financial and accounting operations
  • Administration of contracts and Feeding America affiliation
  • Legal and regulatory compliance
  • Information technology
  • Inventory control
  • Human resource functions

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Supervising the preparation of all accounting program computer records for analysis
  • Audit preparation and financial statements
  • Work with management in the preparation of annual organization budgets
  • Prepare and revise cash flow, budget comparisons and other financial analysis
  • Supervise accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and banking functions

Requirements include, hands-on and detail-oriented; excellent analytical, communication, and writing skills. Familiar with information technology and human resource management.  Must have experience dealing with external auditing and legal/regulatory compliance.  CPA or MBA required.  Minimum five (5) years of financial management experience.  Long Island Cares, Inc. offers competitive salaries based upon experience, diverse fringe benefits, 403b program with a 5% match, and the opportunity to work alongside a talented and innovative workforce.
