Long Island Cares, Inc. Joins Feeding America’s Advocacy Hall of Fame
We are proud to announce that on August 20, Long Island Cares, Inc. – The Harry Chapin Food Bank became the newest member of Feeding America’s Advocacy Hall of Fame.
In the words of our partners, “The Advocacy Hall of Fame is a yearlong contest that challenges network members to complete a set of advocacy tasks before the end of the year.” As a reward for having met this challenge, our name will be prominently displayed on a plaque at Feeding America’s Washington, DC office.
Long Island Cares, Inc. joins Feeding America Southwest Virginia, Atlanta Community Food Bank, Treasure Coast Food Bank, North Carolina Association of Food Banks, Oregon Food Bank, the Food Bank of Alaska and Feeding Indiana’s Hungry in the Advocacy Hall of Fame Class of 2014.
We sincerely thank Feeding America for this recognition, and our supporters for joining us in advocating on behalf of our neighbors in need. Together, we will eradicate hunger on Long Island.
