Paule T. Pachter, Executive Director of Long
Island Cares, Inc.- The Harry Chapin Food Bank
will be recognized on September 24th as one of
Long Island Business News' 50 Around 50 in their
inaugural class of 2009.
Pachter will be
recognized as one of fifty hard-working and
dynamic men and women for his dedication to Long
Island Cares, The Harry Chapin Food Bank; Long
Island's premier food bank and hunger assistance
organization working to end hunger on Long Island
since 1980.
Pachter is a graduate of the
Adelphi University School of Social Work and prior
to joining Long Island Cares in 2008, has held
several positions within Nassau County's human
services community most recently as Deputy
Executive Director of Central Nassau Guidance and
Counseling Services. Prior to that he served
as Deputy Commissioner of the Nassau County
Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation
and Developmental Disabilities and Director of
Program Services for the United Cerebral Palsy
Association of Nassau County.
He will
receive the 50 Around 50 Award at a celebration
September 24th at the Garden City Hotel. For
