UNITED PET GROUP OF ISLANDIA TO DONATE 30,000 POUNDS OF PET FOOD AND SUPPLIES TO LONG ISLAND CARES ON THURSDAY, JANUARY 7th AT 10:00 A.M. TO SUPPORT PETS IN NEED

WHAT:   

United Pet Group of Islandia to donate approximately 30,000 pounds of pet food and pet supplies to Long Island Cares, Inc. - The Harry Chapin Food Bank on Thursday, January 7, 2010.
 
In response to the poor economy and the increased need across Long Island from families struggling to feed their pet family members, two tractor trailers from United Pet Food Group will deliver 55 pallets of assorted pet food, pet supplies, pet toys and grooming products for distribution through Long Island Cares' Pet Pantry.

Long Island Cares is a member agency of the Food Bank Association of New York State and Feeding America.
