ANIMAL RELIEF FUND TO PARTNER TO FEED LONG ISLAND'S
PETS |

MEDIA REPRESENTATIVES ARE
INVITED TO ATTEND A SPECIAL PRESS
CONFERENCE:
Long Island Cares, Inc. - The
Harry Chapin Food Bank and the Animal Relief Fund
will announce a partnership to warehouse and
distribute pet food to Long Island families
struggling in the current recession to maintain
their pet companions.
Many
Long Islanders have contacted local pantries and
Long Island Cares to request a donation of
pet food. Local media have reported on
families putting their pets up for adoption as a
result of not being able to afford pet food,
veterinary care, and other services.
Paule Pachter, Executive
Director, Long Island Cares, Inc. and Susan
Kaufman, Founder and President of the Animal
Relief Fund will be joined by pet advocates and
several furry friends to announce this creative
partnership at Long Island Cares, Inc., 10 Davids
Drive, Hauppauge.
