Island Harvest Island Harvest “rescues,” or collects, surplus perishable food from local restaurants, caterers, farms, and other food-related businesses and distributes this food to a network of soup kitchens, food pantries, and other places right here on Long Island where those in need can access it.
Just Say Yes to Fruits and Vegetables JSY is a Food Stamp Nutrition Education Program funded by the USDA with matching funds from the NYS Department of Health. It provides free programs and resources to food pantries in New York State.
LIPA - REAP REAP (Residential Energy Affordability Partnership) is a Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) program for income-eligible customers designed to help them save energy and lower their electric bills. Participation in REAP can make your home healthier and safer. In addition, participants are guided to other non-LIPA services that can help them with special needs.
